Reopening Our Lobby Doors - COVID-19 Update

All of us here at Lower Columbia Longshoremen’s FCU would like to thank you for your loyalty and patience while we’ve had to temporarily restrict access to our lobby due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. As Washington State is working on reopening up the economy in phases, we have been working at the credit union as well to ensure we can safely open our doors. To that end, we are happy to announce that beginning on Tuesday, May 26th, our lobby will reopen and we will be back to our regular business hours.
The health of our employees and members remains our highest priority which means things will look different as you enter the credit union. We’ve taken steps to ensure we are maintaining 6 feet of social distancing and have put the following safety measures in place to protect our employees and members:
- Glass sneeze guards at the teller line
- Table top sneeze guards at the new account and loan office desks
- Hand sanitizer out for member use
- Optional disposable face masks for members
- Temporarily discontinuing coffee service
- Temporarily discontinuing access to the member restroom.
While we look forward to seeing everyone, we do ask that if you are sick or have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days that you do not come into the credit union. The CDC recommends that people take their temperature daily and that if it is at 100.4 F or greater that you stay home. Additionally, the World Health Organization recommends wearing a mask if you are coughing or sneezing. We understand that some of our members may be following this recommendation, however, before entering the credit union it is required that you remove your mask. After we (and our cameras) have seen your face, you can put your mask back on. Please refer to the following WHO and CDC websites for more information on properly using face masks:

Lastly, we are excited to announce that the credit union expansion and remodel will begin on June 3rd provided Cowlitz County is approved for Phase 2 of Washington’s Reopening Process. We believe this is a necessary step to better facilitate the day-to-day operations and the needs of our employees and members. We are also eager to be a part of getting our local economy back up and running by providing family wage jobs to local contractors and trade organizations. Please excuse our mess throughout this process.
